I saw this floorplan on Pinterest the other day and did a double take– Spanish artist Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde has brought to life the apartment that I, and countless other women my age, visited weekly from 1998 to 2004. Cliché though it might be for a fashion student, I was a huge Sex and the City fan, and still enjoy catching the occasional rerun.
Anyone who watched the show will remember the ridiculousness of Carrie’s pad. Impossibly large for New York standards, she had a designer-stocked walk-through closet as large as some studios, stored sweaters in her oven and bought large leather chairs on a whim. Her lifestyle was the ultimate fantasy, and now I can imagine it on a whole different level. Aren’t the details in this plan great? It’s exactly how I remember it! Check out the artist’s portfolio, where other favourite TV shows also get the (interior) designer treatment.
Any fun plans for this weekend? I’m hoping to get over my lingering cough, but also find some time for me. If the weather holds out a long run in the park is in order, as is some reading and autumn baking. I’m also going to see a potential new client on Sunday, so here’s hoping that works out.
Have a great weekend, I’ll catch you all on Monday! x
