It’s Monday morning and I’m back in the office, but my thoughts are still with the awesome weekend that’s been. With my best friend in town we had a pretty busy one, full of culture and fun and just the perfect amount of lazy relaxation.
1&2 Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, inside and out. I was lucky enough to snag free tickets from a client to The Taming of the Shrew on Friday evening. My friend and I had a hilarious time trying to follow the plot by comparing it to that ultimate teen movie of our generation, Ten Things I Hate About You.
3&4 An evening stroll along London’s South Bank equals great conversation and fantastic photo ops.
5&6 Scenes from the Henley Royal Regatta on Saturday. It was an awesome time of boat races, laughter, dancing and gin & tonics. England at its finest.
7&8 Before heading back to London on Sunday, me and the girls stopped at a charming country pub for a hearty lunch.
The only thing I regret about this weekend was not celebrating Canada’s birthday properly in Trafalger Square, which I’ve done in past years. I was far too tired after returning home on Sunday, so opted instead to go for a run and watch some TV instead.
So, that was my weekend. What did you get up to?
