Good morning, and Happy Monday! I’m feeling a little tired and run down today after a weekend spent in Paris, but it’s nothing that some rest and tea won’t cure (I hope). I’ve been super busy lately with work, so it was great to get some headspace from it for the past couple days in my favourite city. Here’s what I was up to, this past weekend and beyond…
1 I recently visited a possible new client on this lovely London street. The pale pink light was beautiful as I left, so I snapped this pic.
2 Dishoom is a London favourite, but I’d never tried one of their delicious breakfasts until recently. A friend and I met at the Shoreditch locations for eggs (me) and sausage (her) wrapped up in warm naan, with coriander, cream cheese and tomato-chili jam for dipping. In a word: amazing.
3, 4 The rest of the photos are of my weekend jaunt to Paris; here, views of the Canal St. Martin and the Seine.
5, 6 I finally managed to try Claus for breakfast, and it was as good as I’d heard. Everything is just so in this ultra-chic cafe tucked behind the Rue St. Honore, and the food and service were both lovely.
7 The flat I stayed in this weekend was smack dab between Montparnasse and the Latin Quarter, just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Jardins du Luxemburg. I loved walking through the area in the morning, when it was blissfully quiet.
8 L’Éclair de génie. Yes, again.
9, 10 Beautiful Paris architecture: the pyramide du Louvre and the Zaha Hadid pavilion at the Institut du Monde Arabe.
So, what about you? x
