Hello friends, and happy… er… Tuesday? This post is a day late due to a very busy (but fun) weekend, and an even crazier day back in the office yesterday. In fact, I’ve been pretty much flat-out since mid November, and I’m looking forward to a good long rest – from the job, from blogging, even from London – over the Christmas period. But first, here’s a bit of what I’ve been up to lately…
My new red coat that I saw in the Marks & Spencer Christmas advert and promptly purchased. It’s the hot shape of the season and a festive colour to boot– what’s not to love?
Just hanging out on my last free weekend until Christmas; working in bed, having tea and cake with my flatmate. I know you’re jealous of my Prince George mug.
, 4 Some photos of my best friend’s apartment on the Upper East Side, from my trip to NYC last weekend (can hardly believe that; it already feels like ages ago). The view from her bedroom window is one of my favourites to enjoy on a morning, and the bed itself is pretty comfy for slumber parties with friends, as you can see. Want to see more of her lovely home? Check it out here.
, 6, 7 The Wild Rabbit boutique hotel in Kingham is where I rested my head this weekend, and let me tell you, it was amazing. Possibly the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, there was also great food and amazing company while a bunch of friends celebrated Amber‘s upcoming wedding with a fab hen party.
Part of the weekend’s festivities was a cooking class at the beautiful Daylesford Organic Farm, which was both inspiring and super fun. Here we all are, taking a walk through the grounds on a beautiful winter afternoon.
I also learned to make hollandaise for a tasty Eggs Royale, which is a) much easier than I thought, and b) chock full of butter. Not an everyday meal, but incredibly delicious.
Just an adorable photo of one of my favourite families, Lauren‘s little clan. I like to think Tyler and Viola’s presence this weekend kept us all from partying too hard, but it could just be that I’m old and like being in bed by midnight, regardless. Oh well– there are worse things!
