I’ve mentioned before that I have a serious thing for Moroccan style; my Mum spent a few weeks there in May and I’m dying to follow suit. When I first saw the beautiful Tangiers home of footwear designer Bruno Frisoni and furniture designer Hervé Van der Straeten over on the Coco+Kelley blog, I fell pretty much instantly, especially for this one lovely room.
We can’t see much from this photo (apparently, it’s a corner of the living room), but I love the calmness portrayed here. The classic Greek klismos chairs sit perfectly around that simple (but fantastic) pedestal table, and the moroccan door in the background reminds you where we are. The colour scheme, if you can call it that, keeps things modern: everything is white or black, with a few touches of gold. I’m also digging the unrestrained use of marble here, even the chandelier with its slightly bizarre “fins” is making me smile.
Now, if anyone can introduce me to Bruno and Hervé, I’d be much obliged. Guys, I’m a wonderful houseguest.
