These days, you can’t get away from the online magazine trend. Obviously, I devour Lonny, Rue and Matchbook each month, but I’m always on the lookout for new mags that pique my interest, too. Last year saw the launch of the British-oriented Heart Home, and recently I’ve discovered the new-to-me Canadian publication Covet Garden.
Covet Garden has actually been around since 2010, so it’s somewhat surprising that I didn’t know about it until now. (Another surprising bit of information? My mother sent me the link.) I immediately liked the concept of this Toronto-centric tome, because it’s a little different, and dare I say, more digestible, than some other formats.
Each issue only features one interior space, and any other articles in that issue – shopping pieces, recipes, fashion inspiration and whatnot – is inspired by that home. It’s like an in-depth study of one person’s style, which I personally find super interesting. It’s also a great barometer for deciding if you’ll find a particular issue interesting – just look at the cover!
