I’ve mentioned a few times my long-standing love affair with the Whistles brand; this contemporary collection of women’s basics has been my go-to shop for years, and my infatuation only seems to grow with each passing season. And the reasons to love Whistles just keep increasing; this year, the brand revamped their website and added a blog of sorts, appropriately titled Inspiration.
One of the best things about the new blog (beside being a legitimate excuse to hang out on the website of my favourite shop… can I help it if I click over to “New Arrivals” from time to time?) are the interviews/home tours they feature, usually of impossibly cool London girls in their impossibly cool London flats. And because Whistles is a fashion brand, their tours mix interior shots with fashion and a good dose of “stuff lying around”, which as you know is totally my jam.

This is the home of Sylvia Farago, a fashion producer who lives in a charming North London cottage (no neighbourhood is given, but my London spidey-sense tells me this lovely place is somewhere near Dalston). Farago is a Canadian native (yay/solidarity/whatever) who produces shoots for fashion labels the world over and has awesome style, to boot.
It’s not just the interviews you should be checking this site for; I also like the Neighbourhood Guides to places like Paris, Berlin and Cambridge, and the Jane’s Diary monthly posts, which follow Whistles CEO Jane Shepherdson, herself a huge force on the UK fashion scene and a personal inspiration to me.
So happy browsing/shopping, lovelies! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
