As an ex-food blogger and a keen cook, a pretty substantial chunk of my daily blog reads are food-related. One of my all-time favourites, which I’ve been visiting for years, is the inimitable 101 Cookbooks. Author Heidi Swanson’s healthy recipes, way with words and evocative photography have set her apart from the crowd since she began blogging back in 2003. In the decade since, Heidi’s written two cookbooks (her second, Super Natural Everyday, is a favourite of mine), as well as opened an “online pop-up shop” with her husband.
Quitokeeto sells beautiful artisanal products – many food or kitchen-related – that Heidi and Wayne find on their travels around their home of San Francisco and the world at large. I’ve never purchased anything from them (though I’ve been tempted), but I love to visit the site occasionally to admire the beautiful photography, as well as Heidi’s keen eye for style and substance.
Check out the Quitokeeto shop here, and its recipe index (which is supplementary to the recipes on Heidi’s main blog) here.
