Hi all, and Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was low-key and quiet, which was exactly what I’d planned and needed. As there isn’t much to share about that (unless you’re interested in jam-making failures and Netflix decisions? no? thought not), I thought I’d throw up some ‘grams from my recent Rome trip and beyond…
1 One of my favourite things about travelling is actually packing– is that weird? For Rome it was all sundresses and bikinis, with the requisite chambray and Nikon thrown in for good measure.
2 This is the gorgeous flat my friend and I stayed in (and the wonderful pool that initially made our mind up!) The original building is nearly 700 years old and we felt like (very lucky) locals while staying in this beautiful, friendly place.
3, 4 During the mornings and early afternoons, this is what life looked like: exploring, sightseeing and gelato breaks.
5 The afternoons were somewhat different, comprised mainly of reading by the pool, swimming, and the odd smug selfie.
6 On our first evening we attended the Notti d’estate a Castel Sant’Angelo, an evening opening of the famous Roman fortress/museum, including classical music concerts, guided tours and special access to areas not normally open to the public. A huge recommendation for anyone in Rome this summer.
7 Since returning to London, things have been low-key but lovely. Here, a dinner with my fab flatmate/friend at Franco Manca (seriously some of the best pizza in London) and a Martha Wainwright gig at Union Chapel last week.
So what’s life been like for you lately? xo
