I’ve always had a thing for stripes, and lately they can’t come bright enough for me.
I was talking about current trends with an old friend from fashion school recently. Both of us are neutral girls at heart, but the past few seasons of technicolour hues have definitely influenced us. When we met up a couple weeks ago, she was in a bright red dress and I was sporting teal shorts, a multi-coloured tee and coral shades. Much laughter ensued, both at how things have changed, and at how the pendulum is soon likely to swing back the other way, leaving us both with a wardrobe full of colour and no inclination to wear it.
Personally, I can only hope that this vivid moment in style stays for a little while longer- I’m not done stocking up on brights, stripes and graphic patterns, both for my home and my wardrobe.
