As you might infer from the late posting time today, I’m feeling a little uninspired thus far in 2013. After a few months of less-than-regular posting, I’ve got a mean case of blogger’s block. As I’m wont to do when this strikes, here’s a random roundup of four things which I’ve been loving lately:
Red Lips. It started with the bright pink I wore to my sister’s wedding in August, and escalated from there. These days I feel naked without a bold lip colour, and bright red feels perfect for winter. NARS Dragon Girl is my current jam; I’d recommend it for pretty much anybody.
Leather. Ever since I bought my biker jacket in November (and only got three weeks’ wear out of it before the weather got cold… sob) I’ve been loving everything leather. My fave shop Whistles is killing it with the leather clothing lately, and if I had unlimited funds I’d buy one of everything (starting with these cropped leather jeans).
Emerald Green. Pantone’s Color the the Year for 2013 is a favourite of mine; I wore it to my sister’s wedding, bought a green t-shirt in the Boxing Day sales I can’t wait to wear (warm up already, London!), and recently used it in a clients’ home. It feels fresh and invigorating, which we all need in January.

New Music. I have, shall we say, eclectic taste in music (read: totally random and not at all cool). These days I’ve been rockin’ out to The Gaslight Anthem‘s latest album, Taylor Swift‘s Red (hey, if Lena Dunham can admit to liking this girl, so can I), and Newfoundland band The Once, which strangely enough, my mother turned me on to. Their latest album features a beautiful cover of Queen’s You’re My Best Friend, which pretty much sold me on them.
So, that’s what I’ve been loving lately. What about you? Inspire me!
