I can happily report that after my day of taking it easy, I’m well on my way to fully mended. I awoke this morning feeling refreshed and (for the most part) healthy, so as of today I’m back at work.
I thought I’d share a few things I stumbled across during my boredom-induced internet explorations yesterday. Mainly, two new-to-me house-candy sites which I think you’ll like. Looking into other people’s homes is addictive to me; I love sites like Apartment Therapy, The Selby and Freunde von Freunden, which show, through photojournalism-style images, how ordinary (though often exceedingly cool) people decorate, organize and live in their homes.
an afternoon with…is just such a site. Photographer Michael Mundy has been photographing interesting subjects, mainly NYC-based, in their homes since 2010. I usually like a little interview with my images, but in this case, the images, relaxed, moody and beautifully composed, speak for themselves:
Another site I like these days is actually a men’s style blog, by London-based photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce. Jonathan, who I met last month at a mutual friends’ birthday party, covers London street style and all related topics on his site Another Garçon. However it’s the occasional Superior Interiors feature which first drew my interest; Jonathan interviews his subjects as well as photographing them, and the results are as fascinating as they are beautiful (particularly this interview- you must read it).
