You know how right after New Years, you’re motivated and optimistic about the year ahead, and all the opportunities it holds? You start daydreaming about all the Spring mini-breaks you’ll go on, the cute Summer outfits you can’t wait to wear, and all the fun you’ll have as soon as the temperature turns.
And then sometime in January, you realise that Spring isn’t, in fact, “right around the corner” and that you still have weeks (possibly months) of freezing cold temperatures, dark afternoons and cabin fever to look forward to?
Yeah, me too. I call it “the January slump” and it’s a painful pill to swallow. Luckily there’s a cure, and it’s to embrace the month none of us really like, comme ça:
So, there you have it. Don some gorgeous pjs (how I wish I could afford an Olivia von Halle pair), light a luxe candle and cozy up with a soft throw and a good read (I’ve been meaning to pick up Luisa Weiss‘ first book, which promises to be as mouthwatering and readable as her blog). Rinse and repeat until February (at least).
Have a great weekend! x
